TF LOWERED TOP SHOCK MOUNTS - REAR - DEF/D1/RRC

TF512: TERRAFIRMA LOWERED REAR TOP SHOCK MOUNTS
DEFENDER 90 / 110 / 130, DISCOVERY 1 & RANGE ROVER CLASSIC
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Put the car into gear and apply the hand brake, loosen the rear wheel nuts, raise the vehicle on a jack and
then support the rear axle on axle stands.
2. Remove the rear wheels.
3. Undo the nut on the top shock absorber chassis mount and then pull the shock absorber off of the mounting
removing all bushes and washers.
4. Undo the 3 bolts that hold the original top shock absorber mounting to the chassis and remove the whole
assembly.
5. Included with the shock mounts are 6 replacement M10 mounting bolts with matching washers and Nyloc
nuts
6. Using 3 of the new bolts from the kit; fit one new Terrafirma lowered rear top shock mount per side, also
using the relevant washers and Nyloc nuts..
7. Fit the top of the shock back over the new Terrafirma lowered rear top shock mounts with the washers and
bushes in the correct order, fit and tighten the securing nut.
8. When both sides are done refit wheels lower the car off of the axle stands and torque the wheel nuts correctly.
