TF513: TERRAFIRMA REAR TWIN SHOCK MOUNT KIT
DEFENDER 90 / 110 / 130, DISCOVERY 1 & RANGE ROVER CLASSIC
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Put the car into gear or park and apply the hand brake.
2. Jack up the car, support on an axle stand and remove one rear wheel.
3. Remove the shock absorber.
4. Remove the 3 bolts that secure the top original shock mount to the chassis.
5. Place the new lower shock mount over the existing lower shock mount bracket on the axle.
6. Mark and drill the required additional mounting holes.
7. Bolt the new lower twin shock mount to the existing lower shock mount bracket on the axle using the existing
holes and the additional holes you just drilled.
8. Bolt the new twin shock upper mount to the chassis using the original holes through the chassis.
9. Tighten all bolts to vehicle manufacturers torque settings.
10. Fit two new shock absorbers, we would recommend you do not mix different brands, types and lengths of
shock absorbers.
11. Re-fit the wheel lower off of the axle stand and jack, tighten wheel nuts to vehicle manufacturers torque
settings.
12. Repeat process on the other side
